ITA Partendo da Piazza Sant’Oronzo, che ospita la statua del Santo Patrono e Protettore della città , la nostra guida fornirà alcuni cenni storici ed informazioni sulla cittadina. La passeggiata continua attraversando i bianchi e sinuosi vicoli, passando per punti panoramici mozzafiato, fino ad arrivare alla sontuosa Cattedrale con visita presso una bottega artigiana. Passando dalle stradine di città a quelle di campagna, si arriverà

presso un’ antica Masseria , dove da diverse generazioni si produce olio di oliva biologico. La visita guidata comincia visitando l’oliveto monumentale costituito da ulivi millenari e continua con l’eccezionale Frantoio Ipogeo di epoca pre romana. Dopo aver visitato il nucleo abitativo del XI sec ci si immerge nel passato con la visita della vecchia abitazione del custode , della scuderia e del moderno frantoio. ENG Starting from Ostuni’s Grand piazza and the Sant Oronzo statue, your guide will explain the ancient and modern history of the town, its people and its architecture. There is also a visit to a local artisan workshop and, of course to Ostuni’s famous and majestic Cathedral. You will have some free time for shopping, exploring the whitewashed alleys and absorb the inspiring atmosphere of La Citta Bianca!

We then travel a short distance along winding country lanes to an ancient Masseria famous for its long tradition and history of producing the best biological Olive Oil..the Gold of Puglia. At the masseria you’ll take a guided tour among the ancient Olive Trees (many are thousands of years old), followed by a tour of the seventh century underground oil mill and a look around the masseria itself which dates mostly from the eleventh century. To finish off the trip you’ll get to sample the amazing range of oils that are produced here.
